Unlimited rebating depth near the edge
While other planers have to be reworked manually, the HL 850 convinces with a smarter solution: because the planer head is on the same level as the housing, you can plane the entire width of the rebate.

Exceptional results
The HL 850 works with a pulling cut, which ensures a particularly fine planing. Without surface defects, without reworking. This is made possible by the spiral blade, which is attached at an angle and peels the wood in a material- and tool-friendly manner.

Easy to control and handle
The fact that the HL 850 is ergonomically well thought out and well designed is immediately felt when you grab it. All controls can be accessed without changing the grip position.

Quick blade change
Unscrew three screws, change the blade, tighten again – that's all. The blade is adjusted automatically.

Giving structure to surfaces
Fine, coarse or rustic: Festool offers three special planer heads for wood surfaces with an individual structure. To give structure, the planer head is replaced with the handle. All three rustic planer heads offer excellent working results.

Stepless adjustment of the chip depth
The steplessly adjustable cutting depth offers good service in practice. The depth can be precisely adjusted on the rotating handle and, if necessary, changed during work – as the work requires.

Flexible dust extraction
The suction hose can be connected on the right or left as needed. This allows you to work in any situation without dust extraction and damage.

Precise chamfer cuts
No slipping or false running: the 90° V-groove on the planer base means that the electric planer HL 850 slides on the chamfering of boards and beams like a rail.

Quick brake
The quick brake brakes the planer from top speed to zero in seconds. This prevents injuries and damage to the workpiece when the planer is stopped.

Antistatic function

Spir-O-Cut
