For safe opening and closing of click clamps, both with and without a locking stop

For click clamps that do not have a limit lock in the locking mechanism, and for those that do

Click clamps are basically of two types: those that do not have a limit lock in the locking mechanism, and those that do. Due to the large differences, a separate tool is usually required for these systems.

Knipex has developed pliers that are suitable for both types of click clamps. The pliers have asymmetrical, 360° rotating gripping tips, providing a universal solution.

Optimal access even in tight spaces

Thanks to the 360° rotating gripping tips, the Knipex 85 51 250 C hose clamp pliers can open and firmly hold all standard click clamps – even where space is limited. Click clamps are often used in places where there is little space for tools: for example, in internal combustion engines. Especially in the case of modern compact engines, the engine compartment is tightly filled. The narrow design of Knipex hose clamp pliers makes them ideal for such situations.

Gently serrated gripping surface for safe removal of stuck hoses

For example, if a click clamp attached to a vacuum drive has been in place for a long time, the hose may get stuck. Deposits and thermal effects can strongly attach it over time. With ordinary water pump pliers, the hose can be damaged or the fastener can be broken. The gripping surface of the Knipex 85 51 250 C pliers is gently serrated, allowing stuck hoses to be removed both forcefully and gently at the same time.
