Smooth adjustment, self-locking mechanism, ergonomic and with high power transmission

KNIPEX pipe wrenches are adjusted directly to the workpiece. Open the jaws by turning the adjustment screw, place the outer handle on the workpiece, press the inner handle and turn the adjustment screw – the tool is ready for use. The steplessly adjustable design allows the pliers to be adapted to the dimensions of the workpiece throughout the entire working range.

Light pressure on the handle is sufficient for the pliers to lock firmly to the workpiece in the direction of rotation. This self-locking mechanism significantly simplifies the application of high torque. When changing the direction of rotation, turn the pliers around so that the self-locking effect is maintained.
